I can read faster than you can blather and doodle. GIVE ME TEXT OR GIVE ME DEA...no, maybe that's overboard. I do not want to waste my time watching a video on my household logic. If you want me to listen to you, stop actively wasting my time. At least include a link to a text page.

No, I don't think you're being too overboard. I've also long grown weary of videos replacing text (and particularly videos being presented by commentators whose tits are bigger than their IQs*). It's practically reaching the point these days where Reading is becoming an elective in schools, and I don't want to see the situation aggravated by depending on video.
I want to thoughtfully pore over words (which often require more care and craft than simply reading lines into the camera).
(*not that I'm totally against tits, you understand. But there's a time and a place for everything, damn it!)
