Being an experiment in comparing our culture with what it HAS BEEN, and what it SHOULD BE.
Actually interesting point: what sort of SF films would Japan have produced if they hadn't had two atomic bombs dropped on them?
Well, Japan's latex consumption would likely have dropped considerably! A lot more alien invader-type movies. Did Kurosawa ever do an SF-tinged movie? I cannot recall, but I still needed to invoke his name, himself being the inadvertent grandfather to "Star Wars".
Grape Jello!? I thought it was orange marmalade!Kurosawa did a film called "I Live In Fear". About a manufacturer obsessed with the possibility of a nuclear war & his trying to convince his familay to move to Brazil (Lots of people of Japanese descent in S. America.).
Inorite? The Janitors are entertaining, but not altogether accurate. Thanks for the tip. I will look for this film.
