Jafar Sings Carmen Miranda by Fernando Mendonça
Thanks, Uniblogger!
I dunno...this made me laugh out loud. There's a lot of dreadful Disney fanart out there, but this was too good. Here is the incomparable Carmen in her "Slick Hare appearance:
Here is a clip from the 1943 Busby Berkeley Technicolor Musical, "The Gang's All Here" starring Carmen Miranda:

It's rather sobering to contemplate that I've seen more parodies of Carmen Miranda (cartoons and otherwise) than I have actual performances (in fact, other than soundtrack appearances, I've only seen her in SCARED STIFF. You gotta love a woman who sings about enchiladas).
But she's so...parodiable!
And talented.
And pretty.
And enchiladas.
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can & ..... uh ..... huh? Oh ..... different Miranda. OOPS!
That was an honest mistake, Jay. It's a little known fact, but the Miranda Ruling originally came to be after convicts in San Quentin Prison were polled, and it was determined that over 90% of criminals would go quietly if arrested by Carmen Miranda.
(The number two choice was a tie between June Allyson and Vampira.)
